What to Expect on your Ashtanga Yoga Retreat

Three Nights and Four Days of Rest & Nourishment in the Cotswolds

This special weekend includes five yoga classes and a cookery demonstration with renowned chef and Ashtanga teacher Tom Norrington-Davies, offering insight into food seasonality and the inspiration behind the weekend’s nourishing menu.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with time to settle in, enjoy a cup of tea and a homemade snack, and ease into the retreat with gentle movement and a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practice.

Morning Practices

Each morning begins with a simple pranayama and meditation, followed by Mysore-style self-practice—you’ll be guided and supported in a friendly and encouraging environment. Beginners will be introduced in a one-to-one introduction and supported throughout the weekend.

Afternoons of Depth & Relaxation

In the afternoons, we’ll dive into practice techniques and return to stillness through nourishing Yoga Nidra sessions.

One afternoon, Tom will lead a relaxed cookery class, sharing his intuitive, seasonal approach to food, along with practical tips, inspiration, and the stories behind the dishes you’ll enjoy throughout the weekend.

Food & Feasting

All meals will be vegetarian or vegan, freshly prepared by Tom using locally sourced produce that celebrates the vibrant flavours of early summer in the Cotswolds.

Daily brunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner will be thoughtfully prepared to energise and restore.

It’s always a joy to share the Ashtanga practice in such a supportive setting—and with Tom in the kitchen, the food is guaranteed to be nourishing, delicious, and memorable. What they said about our Previous Ashtanga Retreats

“A weekend away with Tom and Lauren was one of the best gifts I could give myself at this time. The retreat itself was extremely well organised, true to their style - from booking to the stay to departure”.

"It's the perfect combination of yoga, excellent food and lovely nature. And it's so nice to spend time with people to chat about everything, not just our yoga. Lauren & Tom are simply wonderful, I cannot recommend this retreat highly enough to anyone.”

”The retreat is like a journey through the rabbit hole. It will be giving its best for all four days. If you’re in search for a deeper connection to nature, broaden the knowledge of your own Ashtanga practice and enhance healing powers through eating seasonal and local ingredients this is your place to be.”

”Having come from London, this was exactly what I needed. Today, I feel like my head is clear, I can think and feel energised. Could have done with 5 more days of this.”

“Not only was it my first retreat, but I also dragged a non yogi hubby along with me. It did not matter that he was a novice as he was made to feel so welcome and included. It really helped than Lauren scheduled in time on the first morning to help beginners. The retreat was wonderful from beginning to end. We were thoroughly spoilt by Tom's incredible cooking skills, and he insisted on doing all of the clearing up too :-) The venue is simply stunning and there was plenty of free time to explore the local area if we wanted to too. Thank you to Lauren and Tom for such a fabulous weekend ❤️”
